ADELE CANCELS U.S. TOUR DUE TO LARYNGITIS

Soulful singer Adele has cancelled the remainder of her US tour because she has laryngitis.

With her album "21" burning up the Billboard Charts and her hot single "Rolling In The Deep" in heavy rotation, Adele is enjoying life right now. Well, not EXACTLY right now, but you feel me.

"I'm really frustrated," Adele stated on her website. "I was hoping with a week's rest I'd be better to sing again straight away. However there is absolutely nothing I can do but take the doctor's advice and rest some more. I'm so sorry. See you soon, love Adele."

I guess we Los Angelenos will just have to wait.

COLDPLAY - "EVERY TEARDROP IS A WATERFALL"

Coldplay released a new single today, Every Teardrop is A Waterfall, from their upcoming album produced by Brian Eno. Give it a listen!

COACHELLA 2012

Well the countdown is on to Coachella 2012. If next year's festival is just HALF as good as 2011, then it's guaranteed to be epic. In an effort to try and accommodate everyone who wants to experience the festival, COACHELLA 2012 will be two separate events, held over two consecutive weekends.

Passes go on sale beginning this Friday, June 3rd, 2011, at 10am PST until the following Friday June 10th, 2011, at 10pm PST. This advance sale will be the only opportunity to take advantage of the Coachella Payment Plan. Passes will be available through a payment plan of 10% down and 8 equal monthly payments OR by payment in full. The price of three-day passes remains at $269 plus fees for the sixth consecutive year.

Hope for FireFighters

Hope for Firefighters features live music, delicious meals prepared by over 25 different fire stations throughout the City, fire apparatus and demonstrations, LAFD gift merchandise booths, raffle drawings, prizes, trophies and exciting Firefighter “Muster” games where more than twenty sponsored teams will compete for trophies & prizes in everything from bucket brigade, firefighter suit-up to an old fashioned hose pull contest. Funds are raised through sponsorship, meal ticket sales, raffle items and the sale of LAFD merchandise.

BOB MARLEY, MESSENGER

THE GRAMMY MUSEUM, DOWNTOWN LA



Bob Marley, Messenger is a new exhibit that debuted at the GRAMMY Museum on May 11, 2011, the anniversary of his passing.





"While celebrating his music and cultural influence, the exhibit presents Marley as a private, spiritual man, and a powerful performer who used his lyrics to give a voice to the disenfranchised."









Housed on the Museum's second floor, the exhibit brings together more than 40 diverse artifacts, including private Marley family photographs.
